Estimates
Ask about a free kitchen estimate
Estimates start with a conversation. Call now to talk to a local kitchen remodeler about your Kearney kitchen, and ask about a free estimate and an in-home visit. Terms vary by remodeler, so ask on the call. You owe nobody anything for calling.

What a good estimate includes
A number on its own tells you very little. Before you compare prices, make sure each estimate covers these points.
- A written scope: what is being removed, moved, replaced and left alone
- The cabinet line and how the boxes are built
- Counter material, thickness and edge
- Allowances for appliances, fixtures, tile and flooring
- Permits, and who pulls and pays for them
- A payment schedule tied to finished stages
- A start date, an expected finish, and what could change either one
- What is left out, such as painting, disposal or patching

Before the visit
A home visit often takes an hour or so. Have a few photos saved of kitchens you like, and write down what must change. Clear the space under the sink so the plumbing can be seen. If you have a basement, clear a path to the area below the kitchen, since that is where the remodeler will look to see how drains and joists run.
Ask how they handle Kearney's dry winters, and how long new wood will sit in the house. Listen for specific answers. Then read the cost guide so you can tell whether the numbers are in a realistic range.
